Not much has changed.
Except for the chorus of insufferable bloviation from right-wing commentators who somehow believe this all but assures Trump’s victory in 2020. This is laughable on its face. Trump’s claim of vindication does not change a damn thing about the following:
We still have a President under (at least) 20 criminal, civil and legislative investigations.
We still have a President who is steadily undoing four decades of environmental protections.
We still have a President who is empowering dictators and autocrats around the world.
We still have a President who ordered his Chief of Staff to grant the highest level of clearance to his son-in-law, despite clear recommendations against it from career professionals. Said son-in-law is, by the way, has gone rogue and shut the State Department out of his meetings with the Saudi royal family.
We still have a President who calls the free and independent press “The enemy of the people”.
We still have a President who encouraged a hostile, foreign adversary to hack into an American presidential candidates email, live and in front of millions of people, on the very same day that Russia hacked into the emails of the DNC.
We still have a President who appointed his daughter as a senior advisor, said daughter has leveraged her position to acquire trademarks from foreign governments for her personal business interests.
We still have a President who has usurped the “power of the purse” from the legislature by contriving a fake national emergency at the southern border.
We still have a President who enacted a policy which resulted in the abduction and likely permanent separation of children from their parents who attempted to seek asylum from violence in their home countries.
I could go on…
